The Proposals

The proposed development would deliver up to 39 new homes, which will include a mix of housing types, including family housing and affordable homes to help meet local needs. 

 

The proposal will include a new access from Milcote Road, alongside the creation of public open space, cycle and pedestrian infrastructure, sustainable drainage features, landscaping and biodiversity enhancements. The site layout has been designed to respect and integrate the new development with Welford-on-Avon and surrounding area, including the conservation area. 

Development Proposals:

The proposed development would deliver the following:

  • Up to 39 new homes, including family and affordable housing, to meet Welford’s need for homes and Stratford-on-Avon's housing requirements

  • New public open space, including onsite children’s play provision, allotments, plus pedestrian links and cycle route

  • Landscaped green spaces, including additional tree planting, reinforcement of existing hedgerows and biodiversity enhancements

  • New site access via a priority T-junction off Milcote Road

  • New pedestrian infrastructure which will provide a safe and continuous walking route into Welford-on-Avon village

  • Sustainable drainage features including attenuation basins
